The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the deputy superintendent for programs and treatment, the director of treatment and programs coordinates inmate recreational and treatment programs. Program attendence case files, consisting of logs and memorandums, are created to monitor attendance at programs, to help determine program success, and to establish schedules for their operation.
